Set dns-search domains on Ubuntu guest

Can anyone point to how I can set the dns-search domains on an Ubuntu guest? Ideally this would be done with an Ansible playbook that provisions the box.

dns-search is a line in /etc/resolv.conf

that in ubuntu seems you can configure in /etc/network/interfaces




you can use shell or something like this:
