Passing of Gary Cobb

I don't know if any of you remember Gary Cobb, he hosted the Motor Guzzi breakfast meetings in Richmond for several years. Gary passed away on December the 6th of this year After fighting Parkinson's for many years. Gary was 85 years old at the time of his passing.  Gary was a quiet caring man.  My fondest memory of him is that he could get on that mismatched Convert 5 speed and ride me straight into the ground. Gary was a dear friend that will truly be missed.

You sure he didn't pass away January 6th? That is what his obit says.

I remember Gary well. He was as brilliant a mechanic as he was a quiet and unassuming guy. Very talented rider too. A life well lived for sure.

I remember Gary and his very ratty but also quite rapid G5 (wasn't it a G5?). I didn't know him well, but I talked to him at a few rallies and Lannis and I joined one of his Richmond lunches a few years back. It was interesting to talk to him about the power upgrades to his bike. I'm sorry that he's left us: I'd love to tap into his knowledge a bit more. On the other hand, though, just imagine how well his heavenly bike must perform! :-)
