Volunteer to Help UVRF's CReW at the Head of the Charles!

UVRF's cancer survivor rowing program, CReW, is racing in the Survivor Row Exhibition event on Saturday, October 18 at 3:43 p.m.

We would welcome some help carrying the boat (20 minute commitment) and helping them launch, and also meeting them back at the dock and helping them carry the boat back, unrig and load (30 -40 minute commitment).

Thank you Carin for sending out this request. It’s amazing watching the volunteers jump aboard. 

UVRF shows the meaning of teamwork everyday at the docks. 

Yesterday CReW joined the contingent of UVRF rowers at the NH Championships. This was the first race for some of us. But we felt the support and encouragement every step of the way. Including help carrying our boats to and from the docks. 

As we prepare for Boston we’ve created a short Video. We wouldn’t be here without our amazing coaches and the entire UVRF community - so we thought we’d share.

My favorite part is what many of us have believed all along, that all of the parts of UVRF—young, old, in-between, tall, less tall, beginners, experienced, former national team members, CReW, racers, rec rowers, coaches, juniors, parents & spouses, officers, board members, and equipment & grounds maintenance crews—are one.  It’s never been more apparent than now.  Thank you Erika, thank you Chuck, thank you everyone.
