I’m excited to invite you to a Modern Board Game Night on Saturday, August 23 at 6:00 PM at The Ann Arbor Club. I won this event through the UUAA auction, and I’d love to use it as a chance to bring some of us together for an evening of play, conversation, and community.
Our facilitator is Jeff Mishra-Marzetti, a skilled and welcoming host many of you know from UUAA. While Rev. Manish may not be at the table, we’re sure he’ll be there in spirit—especially if the game requires strategic cooperation.
Jeff will guide us through a curated mix of modern games that are easy to learn and engaging for all experience levels.
Games may include:
7 Wonders Duel, Castles of Burgundy, Concordia, Jaipur, Splendor, Sushi Go Party, Azul, Quacks of Quedlinburg, Ticket to Ride
Plus favorites like Bridge, Euchre, Backgammon, and Chess.
And if the Burn Guy (Dave Borneman) shows up, expect a Sheepshead table too!
Feel free to bring a game you love—more games means more options for connection and fun.
Snacks will be provided, and guests (ages 10+) are welcome.
