As of this evening (9/11) around 7 PM there was a dark morph Parasitic Jaeger at Sand Hollow State Park in Washington County. This bird was first reported on eBird on 9/10 by visiting birders Liam Murphy and Giulia Donato. It was first re-found this morning by Steve and Cindy Sommerfeld.
This would definitely be the first Parasitic record for Washington County, and as far as I can tell, also a first for anywhere in southern Utah!
Best of luck for more good birding this fall!

Here are some photos of the Parasitic Jaeger taken Friday 9/11 at Sand Hollow State Park, Washington Co., UT.
I stopped by for an hour this morning and didn't see the jaeger, but I got distracted photographing Baird's Sandpipers, so I didn't look very hard. I did see a hatch year Sabine's Gull on the water.
