Here’s a preview of our 2026 schedule, with a few big events to plan around.

On May 15, Colorado will be hosting a Western Colorado 1200k based out of Fruita, with a leg on Day 2 into Moab. I have scheduled some of our rides a bit earlier in the season to help us prepare for this ride; they are also offering a 400k and a 1000k at the same time, so this is a great chance to ride somewhere new. If you are interested in riding this, or especially if you’d like to volunteer to support the ride, please let me know.

San Diego Randonneurs is hosting a 500k weekend in Las Vegas March 21-22, with a 300k on Saturday and a 200k on Sunday. There is also a 100k and a 120k perm available in Vegas if anybody would like to ride those as well.

June 11 SLR will be hosting a 1000k from Salt Lake City to Denver, with overnights in Vernal and Walden. Route development is still underway. Please let me know if you’d like to ride or volunteer for this 1000k.

In support of earning the RUSA Cup, SLR’s first ever Team Randonnée will be Sept 19. Each team will plan and ride their own unique route, ending at a common location, so we will need to choose a great finish location to converge on, and design some great routes to get there.

This is an exciting schedule. My mom lives in Grand Junction, so I may head that way for the 400k at least.

I am very intrigued by SLC-Denver, though I'm not ready to confirm entry just yet.

Thanks for organizing!

Wow, big year coming up. Looks exciting!

Since we're already planning a Dart Populaire, for those of us who are not quite up to RUSA Cup level, would you consider changing two of the 100k rides to fit Rouleur qualifications? One needs to be between 125 - 149 km and one needs to be 150-199 km. Those rides would still count for anyone going for the P-12 but would also count toward Rouleur. Then we'd have all the Rouleur qualification rides available in one year.

Yes, great idea David. I will work on changing two of those 100k rides to fit the Rouleur award.

Sorry to Spam your list, Ken

I’d like to plug our Texas early season DIY Cloverleaf 1,200km.

There will be a 1,200k Rando Konvention in Texas April 16th, 2026.

It’s a clover leaf, DIY out of a Host Hotel, within about 30 - 45mins of Dallas Airports.

This ride might appeal to Randos that want early season K’s, or are working on a RUSA Cup, American Randonneur Challenge (2 X Domestic1200k in a year), Coast to Coast Awards, Rando Scout Award……… or just want to meet up for some Kamaraderie.

Route will be easy compared to Utah ;=) with soft rolling hills…

I think there will be quite a few of us doing Texas and Colorado for our 2025 American Randonnuer Awards.

We plan to open registration around the end of this year, and will announce details in a few emails to our "Lone Star Roundup 1,200km Interested group". If it’s possible that you might want to join us, Please sign up on our interested list for updates

Thanks Dan!
The **10** USA 1200k's are also now listed at https://rusa.org/, so there's a lot to choose from in 2026.

No reason to not earn a ARC, RUSA Cup and Coast to Coast with all those offerings ;=)

10 Domestic 1,200kms in a year is a RUSA high water mark….

Any thoughts on some gravel events?

In the past we have done the Pony Express 100 and 200km distances.

Most of us just camped out at the trailhead.

Our spring calendar is pretty crowded, so we might want to do those in the fall.

Ken, do we need to recertify those brevets as gravel so extra time is allotted? (I can assist with this if needed).
