Our ushers select gift bearers. They try for relatives of the individual or family listed as the Mass intention. Failing that, it is random.
During Advent the family that lights the Advent Wreath candles presents the gifts at the Offertory. We do not use MSP for Gift Bearers.

Our ushers ask/choose gift bearers, as people are arriving.
Advent wreath candle lighters are asked/chosen in advance, but we don’t add them to MSP since it’s a short period.
