Many CONGRATULATIONS to Professor Judith Byfield, the winner of this year's AHA's Martin A. Klein prize for her book, The Great Upheaval: Women and Nation in Postwar Nigeria (Ohio Univ. Press, 2021). The Martin A. Klein Prize in African History recognizes the most distinguished work of scholarship on African history published in English during the previous calendar year by the American Historical Association.
