They’ve turned our brothers and sisters into mercenaries

They are turning the planet, into a cemetery

The news that  “France is to set up a military base in Nigeria” has been dropped like a bomb, and is surely being regarded with some trepidation by the current status quo in Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali, three former French colonies where French troops that were stationed there, have been given marching orders to leave, have in fact, complied…and by September this year the French troops should be leaving Senegal too.

The fear must be that at some near future date once they have established their military base in Nigeria, that will be the springboard from where France will intend to launch their attacks on the aforementioned former colonies, to recover lost territories, lost influence, much gold and other valuable, strategic minerals, and of course to impose more compliant governments

Aminata Fall : Yaye boye

Me : Had to cry today

No, “it doesn’t rain, it pours” :

The big three : Good Friday  - Yom HaShoah -  the passing away of Pope Francis.

All three against this  permanent background : the ongoing Genocide in Gaza

more ethnic cleansing in the West Bank

Yemen

Sudan

and now this

this preposterous  proposition

in this cruellest month.

Only one more thing left to exclaim :

The blood of Jesus

What Tinubu surreptitiously proposes

in cahoots with the Macro is all covered

by one word : Perfidy

Army Arrangement 2 !

Has Tinubu lost his marbles? A reasonable question, Watson

As Fela says, perhaps, so too, Tinubu will declare his mental assets  : ai no craise o !

I know what I’m doing, I’m Mr president !

Whereas Wordsworth, Coleridge, Eliot chirp,

the human soul in intense emotion

tends to express itself in rap,

like a wannabe academic

the idiot thinks it's a cerebral event

but for the rest of us the non-poets

it’s a spontaneous overflow of emotion

could be a kaleidoscope of confusion

so, here’s my Pan-Afrique reaction:

Well, I’ll be darned !

Old pope, new pope

(According to Ghanaian Pan-African Bro

“old wine in new bottle”

Old wine, old swine

Old foe, new foe

Old bag hoopoe

no hope

old testament, nouveau testament

on scratching the surface only, “nothing is revealed”  -

or as Solomon (almost wrote “sodomon”) and Dr Oohay

would say, “nothing new under the sun”

Here too, one word should do : Treachery -

Written on the dollar “ In God we trust”

Ask dear Tinubu who did his April in Paris

(Jibrin Ibrahim condemned the absentee president

Who is hopefully now healed, and

happily now back home

from his medical & other consultations

aboard; ask him what’s written on the franc

the cfa that’s issued by the

central bank headquartered in France…

The rumour mill/ internet free speech zone cyberspace

is swirling and spinning with rumours about Bola Tinubu vs Ibrahim Traore

Reminds me that Ali ( from Iraq) once proposed that instead of the invasion they should have arranged a boxing match  between Saddam and Baby Bush, and that the outcome was pretty certain : Stepping into the ring with one mighty lion roar of “Allahu Akbar!” Saddam would have  finished him and that at the end of the bout only Bush’s bones would have remained, by his shoes.

Ali once asked me, “ Why can’t he leave Palestine alone?

If Bush loves the Yehudi so much, then he should give them half of Texas !”

About Marcon’s France  - sure French is a beautiful language Yves Montand and all that, but the second most wicked thing they did was that right in the middle of The Algerian War of Independence they (France) went ahead and they tested their nuclear bomb in the Sahara

The Harmattan winds blew the dust down our way, South West, South East

“Snowing in the winter, blossoms in the spring

If they drop the bomb in the summertime

It don't mean a dog-gone thing

Do you hear me now?

Do you hear me now?”

Bert Jansch : Do You Hear Me Now ?

Perfidy:  Rumour has it that Bola Tinubu wants to invite Ibrahim Traoré to Nigeria for one thing only : To arrest him

Not good for ECOWAS or for African unity

What? I hope this is fake news. I hope this is fake news, for if it is not, it raises a profound question about who Tinubu is working for. Whose interests is he serving? Make no mistake about it, the idea of having France or any other foreign power locate/build a military base in Nigeria is as unpatriotic as unpatriotism can ever be. It is both an anti-Nigerian and an anti-African idea. It will be a huge slap in the face of all Nigerians and all Africans who fought for our liberation--demonstrably an unfinished business. Therefore, I hope that this is fake news.

Food for Thought

I myself do not judge a man [or a woman] by  the color of his [or her] skin. The yardstick that I use to judge a man [or a woman] is his [ or her] deeds, his [her] behavior,  and his [or her] intentions." -- Malcolm X.
