"OPAL LEE: I don’t want people to think Juneteenth is just one day. There is too much educational components. We have too much to do. I even advocate that we do Juneteenth, that we celebrate freedom from the 19th of June to the Fourth of July, because we weren’t free on the Fourth of July, 1776. That would be celebrating freedom — do you understand? — if we were able to do that."

Why didn’t this happen during the reign of  The US’s first Black President, Barack Obama I? 

Of course, Brother Obama’s sweet-talking Uncle Joe  desirous of winning The Black Vote knows that signing this endorsement into law is probably going to endear him to the people most positively affected, just as Abraham Lincoln the Republican cannot be erased from history after signing  The Emancipation Proclamation of January 1, 1863

The struggle goes on 👍’ A luta continua - there’s still a lot of unfinished business and that’s why e.g Cornel West is running for president
