Why?

Why should Otoide die prematurely?

He was a true gentleman.

Toyin,

We are in the middle of a deadly
pandemic that knows no boundaries.

Earlier this year I was knocked out for
two days. I  lost my sense of smell for
two weeks. Thankfully that was the only
side effect felt, and I am no weaker in
the gym.  Since then I have taken two
shots of Moderna- but there are no
guarantees with this wily virus.
Last week I lost my favorite niece,
who was in her 30s, to this
virus.

We have to continue to take
precautions such as distancing,  wearing face
masks, and consumption of nutritious food,
including egusi and bitter leaf  soup,
no doubt. 🤗

Dear Professor Gloria:

I salute your recommendation of Ofe Onugbu. I don’t want to start a war, but I prefer the Owerri type since I was introduced to this delicacy in 1984. Owerri folks and Imo State people in general swore they make it better than the people in Anambra. Which one do you recommend?

By the way, have you tried bitter leaf tea: you prepare it with dried bitter leaves? Thanks.

Happy survival, sista Glo.

In addition to ofe onugbu (bitter leaf soup), remember to read Mathew 4:4: woman does not live by bread alone but sometimes by intermittent fasting. Read my blog post again and feel free to share:

Prof Wariboko,

Well I know that people down in Calabar
claim to be the masters of goat head pepper
soup,  and they surely proved it the last
time I was there....... but I was not aware
of  Owerri - Anambra claims over
bitter leaf soup. I will get back to you on
that one.

Meanwhile  I  am going to try making
bitter leaf tea. Thanks for telling me.

Gloria

Which god do we thank, Toyin? The father
and son of the tripartite conglomerate ; the 33
(million)  Hindu deities; 1500 Orishas;  or
1400 Egyptian neteru of old - some of whom
live on in some form or the other in
these times.  Well these are all
approximate figures that can be queried -
but you should get my point.

Thanks for the best wishes.

Prof. Wariboko,
You will find the best Ofe Onugbu at Awka (not Anambra in general, but Awka in particular).
