I cannot hide my joy as I announce the success of the family of Okey Iheduru as their daughter, Udechukwu, received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the  University of Kentucky . The son,  Dr. (Barrister) Alozie Iheduru (B. S. Econs., Arizona State University '13; J.D., New York University '20) received notice of his success in his New York State bar exam last Friday. I once visited the family in Phoenix where he treated me like a King, and on the way out, sent me off with a bottle of Brandy. Do please send best wishes their way.

The beautiful daughter is single (just look at the Mandela dimple!) but no one on this list is qualified!!!

Congratulations to the Iheduru family. Like father like children. The young, high-achieving Ihedurus have brought pride and glory to their parents and to us all.

Congratulations,  Oga Okey! There is no greater joy for a parent than to have smart, self-driven children who shunned distractions and peer pressure to achieve success.

1,000+ CONGRATULATIONS to the Iheduru Family. Knowing what I know and have experienced firsthand, it certainly was not easy for the Parents who did the life-long “shepherding” or the Children who worked hard to heed the shepherding and scale great heights. What pride and gratitude must be swirling aroud in the Iheduru household! I rejoice with you all! What a beautiful picture of “our” absolutely GORGEOUS daughter! Where is our son’s own photo? Fair IS fair!

Ẹ kú oríire O!

Ire ni o!

Cheers,

SIR Toyin:

Thank you very much for your eloquent recitation of the academic-cum-professional achievements of

younger members of Brother Okey Iheduru's family: daughter's Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD or DDM);

and the son's Law (JD) from my graduate alma mater, NYU. Congratulations to the entire family! Indeed, with

a fine NYU legal education (just like that of a cousin, an NYU Law School-educated Immigration Attorney), I am

not surprised that young Dr. (Barrister) Alozie Iheduru promptly passed his New York State Bar Exam!

Assensohs' handsome Sons & Nephews Are Ready for the "Mandela Dimple":

Well, SIR Toyin, you were so watchful -- when in the Ihedurus' Phoenix home -- that you even noticed young

Dr. Udechukwu's "Mandela dimple"!! You added that she is, still, single. I have some handsome and very brilliant

sons and nephews (including Ghana-American sons); so, a Pan-African marital match can be considered. After all, the

late Osagyefo President Kwame Nkrumah (1909-1972) paved the way in 1957 -- then aged 52 -- when he left all the

beautiful women in Ghana and, instead, went to Egypt to pick a wife (with President Gamal Abdel Nasser's approval):

the former Fathia Halim Rizk, who became Madam Fathia Nkrumah (1932-2007).  In fact, at the time, as I understood

(as a teenager), Ghana's post-colonial constitution restricted any top executive or cabinet member from having a foreign

spouse, but the parliament had an amendment for Dr. Nkrumah to have his sway or way: his youngish Egyptian bride.

When Ghana's opposition party leaders cried foul about the seeming quick amendment to the constitution for

then Prime Minister Nkrumah to give Ghana an Egyptian First Lady, the talkative pro-Nkrumah politician --

Agriculture Minister Krobo Edusei (1915-1984) -- eloquently said in defense-- to pro-Nkrumaist applause-- that

in the new Ghana, there was only one thing that the post-colonial parliament could not do: that was changing a

man into a woman, and vice versa!!! Well, our son needs no constitutional amendment to, at least, try to "scratch"

on Dr. Udechukwu's "Mandela dimple". So, SIR Toyin,  the proposal is in your hands now!!!!

A.B. Assensoh, Eugene, Oregon.

This kind of news brings pure joy. There's no other blessing weightier than seeing your children being blessed and your family receiving the touch of heaven.

Ọ̀gá Okey, you're blessed, really. I will bask in the joy of your blessing sir.
