Forgive my ignorance but can you
enlighten us  about FIMIM, FTA, M.SONTA, GPA, M.ACSPN, M.AMCRON, M.FEGON. What challenges did you face and what mountains did you climb to
attain them? What was the journey like?
How do they differ from each other?

Thanks
GE

No qualms, Prof Gloria Emeagwali. FIMIM stands for Fellow of the Institute of Mass Communication and Information Management of Nigeria. I was inducted as an associate member in 2006 and I grow through the ranks to become a fellow. FTA stands for Fellow of Theatre Arts. It was awarded by the National Association of Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANTAP) in Nigeria. I have practiced theatre arts since 1993 till date and the body in its wisdom decided to make a fellow having gone through its set processes it. M.SONTA is member of the Society of Nigeria Theatre Artists (SONTA). I have been a member since 2006 and currently the Vice President (Programmes and Projects). I have served the Society in different capacities. GPA stands for Global Peace Ambassador, it was awarded by Manna Records International, registered in India for what the body called my service to Humanity in the area of Education and Volunteer Services in communities in Edo State and other areas in Nigeria. M.ACSPN stands for member of Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN). M.AMCRON stands for member of Association of Media and Communication Researchers of Nigeria (AMCRON). M.FEGON stands for member of Film Educators Guild of Nigeria (FEGON) and I currently serve as the President. All these professional and academic bodies are connected to current job as a Professor of Applied Media, Theatre and Film Studies. I hope I have provided some satisfactory explanation for your enlightenment? Shalom.

MERELY dangling a series of honorifics somewhat points to why Naija (with all its NATURAL and DEVELOPMENTAL HUMAN capacities) keeps CIRCLING the wagon (developmentally speaking).
