On Film commissions in nigeria

• In the vangurd newspaor of today  september  1 , david royal  ogbonna a film maker  laments the absence of film commisions outside  lagos state.there is no national film commision.and there are no state  film commision except  for lagos state. 
• The nigerian Vice president  yemi osinbajo once said wehgave enough of pilot  programmes  what we need  to do in nigeria is to scale up..
• its a surprise there is no national film commision  in nigeria.  
• I have often thought the nigerian  Governors' meeting on the platform  of nigerias Governor's forum ,congregate  to share ideas when they meet and not just to share money from Abuja.

• In The united Kingdom the film commission does the following :
• Maximise and support the production of major international feature film and high-end television in the UK
• Strengthen and promote the UK’s film and television infrastructure
• Liaise between the Government and the film and television industry to secure and maintain film-friendly policies
