its been said that 75 per cent of the houses in lagos are sub standard and so they need to be demolished .thats and enormous number of houses! how did it happen?
its good news that the lagos state government wants to demolish some of the barracks beloging to the police but what about the military barracks? they are also supposed to be in a not too tidy and safe condition..
there is what is known as Architectural determinism or environmental determinism or environmental psychology. an ugly environment is most likely to result in ugly behaviour or ugly attitudes as we may have noticed amongst the soldiers and policemen. and some others residing in dilapidated barracks. i learn the police college is also in an UGLY STATE. this ought to be addressed. let me also add that a lot of nigerian cities could be classified a ugly, and so?
i had previously called for the renovation of police barracks in addition to the training of a new generation of policemen as were being trained by Adewale Ajadi
following the surprise sum a soldier man found in his bank account to the tune of 240 billion naira, i had thought the soldiers should keep t money to refurbish and renovate the barracks c across the country. some of it can go to the military hospital and army primary school.
