On reading a report in the newspapers on a federal medical centre my imagination went wild. first I was surprised at such a facility in nigeria
i immediately y i felt there should be a periodical on surgical practice in africa. surgery perhaps for the lay man towards being a well rounded individual .for the enlightened lay man

thinking about falola's recent book on farooq kperoqi and his other books and essays on african scholars and creatives and on non-african scholars of africa, my went to a biography of Odeku, recalled what i have read about the pioneering psychiatrist adeoye lambo, and wondered about the degree to which writing is done about individual creatives in Africa or who are African or who study Africa, particularly scholars, scientists and people in technology

you mention professor lambo my adopted father, i am an alumni of the professor lambos unit UCH.Ibadan thats why I always observe
his birthday,march 29 . he would have been 100 years this year but, by jove the world seems to have gone silent!
as you might have guessed i have a magazine project of mental health, there are so many gaps in the magazine market in africa.i have identified 45 for a media conglomerate in search of writers and investors ;lambo was deputy drector WHO.by jove!
