Dear Biko: 

My deepest condolences on your loss! 

I cried so much today for you, your late sister, and for myself; just like the day I lost my only sister in April 1966 and my life's trajectory changed forever. She was my "mother" at 12 and I was 6. I applaud your courage to put into words the scars and pains we, Biafran children ... with indelible memories of our "Gowon boot", aka Kwashiokor -- have have both endured and triumphed over. Look, we're still standing tall! May Nwakaego's angelic soul rest in perfect peace. Amen!

You have done a great thing by immortalizing the love you have for Nwakaego through the eyes of her young brother Biko. This is a great story of beauty , perseverance, work, and unity of purpose of a family. Nwakaego legacy  and values and commitments cut across  many in her family. Nwakaego story shows the importance of powerful women in African family. I am deeply grateful you had such a great sister. Now that she has gone to land of truth to rest . We must make sure her values of love, creativity, love of family, love of people endures. I wish you and your family speedy recovery from issues which her death caused. Onwubiko I wish you and your family life,health, and prosperity today and always.

My heart goes out to you, reading your outpour. It is a good, heartfelt story; importantly, told truly as you both lived and experienced it. It is pure as it is simply beautiful. You may not know this, but what you have done in telling this story from the heart is grant yourself an unspoken wish. You have immortalized your Beloved Guardian Angel. Now she lives forever in and with You. I pray that that is comfort enough to lighten your heavy heart. May her soul find eternal rest. She certainly did enough on earth for others to earn that.

I share your grief and memory of the death of your sister. Please accept my condolences, Biko. But the truth of the matter is that Guardian Angels in the supersensible world are infinite beings.
