The Yoruba adage that says: Gambari pa Fulani kolejo ninu meaning, if Gambari (Hausa) kills a Fulani, there is no case because they are the same bedfellows. That adage has been seen in the video not to be the case.
We have seen reappraisals after reappraisals. Why is that so? The bandits/terrorists have taken the tolerance of Hausas for granted and perhaps because Buhari government has given the bandits/terrorists a free hand to commit murder with impunity. The Hausas now decided to defend themselves.
It is a lesson to other ethnic groups in the country. People should defend themselves and property and perhaps that will end banditry, kidnappings , killings and ransom payments.

thanks Segun

I wonder why you did not use the qualifier ''Fulani'' bandits to clarify your comment.

I suspect that people these days are not willing to identify the ethnicity of these bandits or are they a multi ethnic group or is their ethnicity irrelevant, an idea that your post does not suggest, leading to my puzzlement about the need for clearer identification in your comment or is such identification unnecessary since your point may be seen as adequately made?

Thanks

Toyin,
I think my explanation is explicit enough. To the Yoruba Gambari is Hausa and Fulani is Fulani. From the ugly scenes of banditry/terrorism in Nigeria today, the Fulani ethnic group has been generally accused rightly or wrongly by Nigerians.
Thanks.
Ogungbemi.

Prominent among those accusing Fulani brigands of these horrors are two Fulani governors, Masari of Katsina and El Rufai of Kaduna
