Celebrating the effusion of beauty I encountered on 25th June 2022 at the memorial to my teacher and later senior colleague at the Department of English and Literature, University of Benin, Dr. Felix Okeke-Ezigbo, later Professor of Literature at the University of Rhode Island, unfailingly sartorial, nimble of foot, quick of mind, master of a word universe in English and Igbo.
The first picture, of the invitation pack, is by my sisters, Ameto and Ifuemi Adepoju. Great thanks to them for showcasing it in the glorious expanse of their garden. The rest are by me.

Food and Drink Flow in Abundance as the Main Celebrant Looks On, Represented by his Picture on the Wall
The height of the celebrations emerged when the gathering broke into dance, family, friends, well wishers gyrating the night away in memory of the erudite scholar, who had lived through the Nigerian Civil War as poet and combatant armed with intellect and pen, returned to Nigeria as scholar and teacher, journeyer from Nigeria to the US and back to the US in quest of knowledge and professional growth and livelihood, his charming smile shaping his beautifully robust cheeks in a face yet focused on duty, how it would please his heart to see those in flesh and blood living the glories of the Earth in his memory as he watches from plains beyond.
