I see that you have taken Nobel Laureate and peace activist Wole Soyinka’s old position on this matter, that either nobody should be allowed to have nuclear weapons or everybody should be entitled to have nuclear weapons. I say “old position” because I don’t know whether or not he has revised that position.
“why should there be a nuclear deal in the first place? are the various nuclear powers themselves disarming?”
Indeed, these are great questions, and since the leaders of the post-Zionist estate say that if there was ever a nuclear-weaponized Iran then the very existence /survival of God’s only chosen people would be in peril, these questions deserve a special chapter in a revised edition of Thomas Nagel’s Mortal Questions.
They are the sort of questions that you could have asked Commander-in-Chief Donald J Trump after he had taken the salute at the military parade, Tito style, and like the magnificent military parades at Red Square and the breathtakingly impressive Military parade in China which he witnessed the last time he was there, so too the wannabe American Monarch, Mensch and Messiah Donald J the First, the one and only Supreme Leader of Greatest America, president of the freewheeling word, President of the free world and the world yet to be born thought that the best way to celebrate his 79th Birthday would be a Military Parade by ( you can hear him chirping) “America First :The Greatest Military that this earth has ever known. The Greatest and the best. ”

You can imagine the kind of sympathy and empathy they would be eliciting with some tear-jerking reports about their having to run to the nearest bomb shelter at the sound of the siren announcing incoming Iranian ballistic missiles aiming to wipe them out, final solution, send them all to the dreaded Olam Ha-ba

But briefly, for the genesis of the whole project we have to go back to the Bible story celebrating the conquest of the seven nations of Canaan, and for the origin of the calumny/ paranoia “ Iran wants to wipe out Israel” we will have to go back to the heady days of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who speaking Farsi/ Persian, made a political statement which was translated into English as him having said that he would like to “wipe Israel off the map” as if he meant that he would ”like to wipe Israel off the surface of the earth militarily - by nuclear holocaust etc , if need be, in the present circumstances the very real, poetic & metaphorical kind of sentiment that we should reasonably expect being expressed by e.g. Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria’s Bashar Al-Assad and the Revolutionary Guardians of Iran
