Oh God!

He taught my dad at his teacher training, before Igbafe became a graduate perhaps and taught my mum in her BA in history at the University of Benin when Igbafe had long been a professor.

A stratospheric scholar, known particularly for his work on Benin history.

A professor of the old school, defined by integrity and dignity of person.

Travel well, brother.

Great thanks for sharing Prof. Falola.

Professor Igbafe was my teacher at Ife; he also became our External Examiner after he left for Benin.

He took his job with passion and dedication.
