Thanks for sharing.

"Undisclosed ailment" "after returning from a function"

Will there be an autopsy?

If so, who has the courage to make sure it's accurate and will give the true report, if such courage is required?

Yep, POISON, I agree!

The here-today-gone-tomorrowness of it all is far too suspect and unnerving.

May his soul rest in peace! Amen!

I believe the wife and family members of Dr. Mailafia will be able to get competent and reliable experts to do the autopsy. Until that is done,  we may not know the true cause of his untimely death.
In the meantime, I want to suggest we suspend any unscientific speculations of the cause of death of Dr.  Obadiah Mailafia.
We love him and pray for the family, relations, friends and colleague he has left behind.
May his soul rest in the abode and bosom of his ancestors and Creator.
SO.

Why suspend speculations?

Can science alone address all the controversies inspired by his life and it's relationship to his death sentences?

This is a man who declared his life as being at risk.

The second high profile figure, after Soyinka.  who suggested he knew those behind Boko Haram, then NSA Andrew Asazi, died shortly thereafter  in a helicopter  crash.

Mailafia is the second person making such a declaration and he is suddenly gone.

I understand UAE presented names of some terrorism sponsors including some Nigerians.

What has been the govt's response?

Determined govts have various ways of eliminating people they find inconvenient.

Whatever is the outcome of the autopsy, if there is one, Mailafia's death will always  be a source of controversy.

Thanks

Toyin

Toyin,
We need to suspend unverifiable speculations because, in my view, we need to believe according to evidence. And when we get a scientific evidence of the cause of death of Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, all Insinuations will probably be put to rest.
I  am not suggesting that after a scientific proof of the cause of his death, the evidence will not be subjected to different interpretations.
I know that Obadiah stood for equitable justice and fairness in his life. His national and international TV  discussions and TF organized interviews remain an invaluable intellectual contributions to  how Nigeria should be governed for the common good of all the citizenry.
He was a man of courage and integrity, a rare quality amongst Nigerian political elites that has  aroused public admirations for hm.
SO.

SO.

Yours is the controlled response in times of collective grief.

Im right behind you.

Democratic Darwinism is not democracy. This can lead to survival of the filthiest. Let those who believe in majority rule clamour for its practice at the centre in Nigeria come 2023
