Thank you for sharing these views here. It resonates with me and I full share it. It always makes me sick and infuriated to no end every single time there is some national issues under dispute in Nigeria our pot-bellied, thieving and selfish politicians gather themselves together and walk to the US embassy dressed up like clowns to look, act and talk stupid. With actions like that I wonder why people challenge the US for being the “policeman of the world”. It is a completely shameful act and to crown it many of our "elite" academics endorse such silly protests because it suits their narrative. It is not about this ongoing event; it is about ALL events when people engage in this act of indiscretion. The only time Nigerians have a business taking a collective walk to the US embassy is when there is any need to show a collective disgust about a US policy or action, and never for the purpose of asking them or encouraging them to act against any part, group or government of Nigeria.
