7th July, 2024:

"Electricity grid 

collapsed,

And so

There was darkness",

Their megaphones said.

We, the people, 

We have been in darkness,

Our candlelights 

And hand fans are handy.

We bother not about the collapse.

In unison,

We chorused,

"Let there be darkness 

In their amoral abodes,

In their sin cities".

Of national protest planning.

Some are planning 

To  protest peacefully,

Some are planning

To protest violently,

Some are planning 

To revive their ailing pockets.

Officialdom 

Is planning to pocket 

The protest planners.

'Tis the era

Of national protest planning.
