The "dot in a circle" in the Buhari speech was a metaphor.
A "dot in a circle" would mean the fulcrum on which the circle circulates.
As a creative writer, I could describe any person I respect, who is also a peaceful person as a "lamb".
A literary interpretation would mean that the person is meek and peace loving.
A literal interpretation would mean that the person is likened to a lower animal (an insult).
Since I am writing metaphorically, the literary interpretation should apply.
Methinks that that speech was written by a creative writer, writing metaphorically and so the literary interpretation should apply.
