Astonishment!
I marvel
At the flimsiness
Of these future leaders.
Heroes
And heroines now come cheap.
Role models
Are now rotten characters.
With a blaze
A rotten role model emerged,
Puffing
On illicit massive marijuana,
Messing
The land with music
With lurid lyrics.
Puffs on illicit marijuana,
The smoke
And smell of illicit marijuana,
The stench of street sins
Became the new laurels.
"School is scam"
Became a singsong,
The new song,
The beloved anthem.
Social media followership
Spiralled.
Decency protested
But was bullied
And reminded
That a new role model is here.
We are now inundated
With tales of attrocities.
The hero is now a villain,
Social media followership
Shrinks.
The land stinks now
From the role model's rottenness.
