When Isa Pantami was made a Professor by the University Professor Nnenna Oti heads, she was passed off as everything negative, now that she declared the Labour Party candidate winner in the just concluded Abia state governorship election, she is a "heroine". I marvel at the shifty yardstick of determining heroes, heroines and villains by the self righteous loudmouths of Nigeria.

The connection is that certain things compel us in ways we do not always have control over. For instance, those who participated in genocide in Rwanda did things that they did not approve of or endorse.

He needs to define what he means by “hate.” Probably he is narrowing it down to emotional aversion, as in disliking a person. Some people don’t dislike individuals, irrespective of what they do to them. In other words, he does not process humiliation or envy. I don’t hate Adeboye, but I dislike Pastor Suleiman and can never have dinner with the late Joshua. Those are layers of emotions.

 

However, if he means he can approve all forms of ill-treatment to others, as in the killing of the student in Sokoto, kidnapping, Boko Haram, terrorism, slavery, etc., then his statement is extraordinarily juvenile. We are supposed to hate bigotry, killing innocent people, terrorism, abuse of power, etc.

Angels are beneath humans("let us make man in our image and likeness").

(Deep)Poets operate from the highest level of spirituality where Christ was when he pleaded to God to "forgive them for they do not know what they are doing". 

"Them" of course were persons unjustifiably working hard to humiliate and kill him.

They had not shown any remorse at the time of the plea.

The Christ was supposed to hate them but he didn't because of his(spiritual)elevation. 

By the way, hatred of evil is also an attribute of (spiritual) elevation.

Announced winners of disputed elections in Nigeria has always been sworn in pending the outcome of the disputes(via the courts). That is the law of the land. Where then is the basis for an interim government?
