As the bard ( I almost wrote “bird”) sang,

Remember - again - according to the Gospel Story, what Jesus said to his mother at the wedding in Cana
Today, we are not reading these stories in the language that Jesus spoke and perhaps that’s the reason why we are making such a fuss about translations into that all-Swedish swear word “ djävla” ( the devil, Satan). In my own personal reading, in some contexts I‘d translate “get thee behind me Satan” into what in Yoruba and in Nigerian patois would be the mild expletive “Ojare!”
According to the Gospel story, Jesus saying to Peter: "upon this rock I shall build my church” was in response to Peter saying to Jesus, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God"

With reference to the rock / rock-steady / the solid rock relations between Uncle Sam and Israel, Trump, Kamala etc, Rock of Ages Cleft For Me, Simon & Garfunkel: I Am a Rock (“ I have my books and my poetry to protect me”) in this case the good old holy rock 'n' roll, I particularly like this verse from Gotta Serve Somebody :
“Might be a rock 'n' roll addict prancing on the stage
You might have drugs at your command, women in a cage
You may be a businessman or some high-degree thief

Peace will come when Jesus comes
Me:Not before?
Pastor:No. And Jesus will come when the Jews call upon him that they crucified
Meanwhile whoever will call upon the name of Jesus shall be saved
Me:Is there any reason to hope that there will soon be Peace?
Pastor:No
Me:
Trump?WW3?
Pastor:It is written the day they will say peace at last then sudden destruction will come
Me:
Trump?

Me:Let us pray. Why don't they pray at the UN?
Pastor:The un are unbelievers
