Osakue Omoera and Gloria Emeagwali (eds.).
Understanding Nigeria's Nollywood: Theoretical
and Empirical Illuminations. Germany: Galda Verlag,
2025.

The first part of the book gives a theoretical
overview. The second part includes micro-studies on
specific Nollywood films.

Chapter one  contains reactions from Trinidad and Tobago
to Nollywood,  with respect to viewer frequency, rationale
for viewing, and attitudes to Nigerian Films.

May there be many more books on Nollywood.

Understanding Nigeria’s Nollywood. Brilliant! Great Congratulations!

The only problem is that it’s so expensive!

Over here in dear Sweden it costs 1159 Kr

Holy Moly that’s all of $118.49 !

Congrats, Prof.

If I may, I would appreciate a review or adoption copy, as I am teaching a course titled African History in Movies, Music, and Images this summer.

The course was piloted this summer with a cap of 15 students, and we now have 10 on the waiting list. We might run two sessions at the start of summer next month.

BJ,   I thank you  sincerely for your best wishes.
Unfortunately, quantitative output of books is not my strongpoint-
so your prayer will not be answered anytime soon.😊

As for the cost of the book it is really outrageous, Cornelius.
I agree.

Thank you, Biko.
