Join us on August 1, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. (CEST, UTC+02:00) for Dr. Huaping Lu-Adler's online lecture "Moving through Racism with Love: What I have learned from studying Kant and Racism".
Dr. Lu-Adler is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Georgetown University and specializes in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century Western Philosophy.
In recent years, she has focused increasingly on the Philosophy of Race and Social Epistemology. She is the author of Kant and the Science of Logic (Oxford
University Press, 2018) and the recently published Kant, Race, and Racism: Views from Somewhere (Oxford University Press, 2023).
In her talk, she will discuss what she has learned from working on her new book, Kant,
Race, and Racism, for a future practice of sustainable social change in the context of society's overall struggle against racism. As such, the talk is not just for philosophers, but is relevant to a wide audience.
