I got a rude shock a moment ago when a link was sent to me that Akinola is dead. Rude shock. I am not sure that AB or Professor Vaughan are aware. A close admirer of Professor Adamoleku (I was in a zoom meeting with him this morning), I am not sure he, too, is aware.

He contributed regularly to the USA-Africa Dialogue.

Professor Vaughan introduced me to him when I went to Oxford in 1988 to give a seminar.

So sorry to hear. Dr. Anthony Akinola's relentless supplies of informative and topical issues would be gravely missed. May his memory give us joy, and may we and all those he has left behind be comforted.
