The more you hear the less you understand. Until the Nigerian army /government is able to account for how many people were shot dead and whose bodies were dumped in rivers or lagoon as aftermath of the shooting at Lekki tollgate in Oct, 2020, please exercise caution in condemning CNN or any mass media for their reports on #EndSars protest

Cable News Network also known as CNN is today regarded as the poster medium for the propagation of fake news in the world. This claim was made popular by the US president, Donald Trump who has been alleging CNN of being propagator of fake news since 2016, but more recently, by the Nigerian Government, which accused the international news medium of reporting fake and unsubstantiated figures of alleged casualty in the Lekki incident during EndSars protest against police brutality in Nigeria.

citing trump for calling cnn a propagator of "fake news" is like citing goebbels. the term "fake news" came from a demagogue whose way of discrediting bad news about him was to call it false. only those who were blinded by his demagoguery believed and repeated the term. incredible to see someone writing seriously to this list and lecturing us by quoting a liar whose goal is to undercut democracy and journalism. if the nigerian govt is adopting similar practices to counter their criticism, they are as shameful as t.
