Pre-emptively, Trump has at least achieved more than a strategically important deal and will be legally grabbing some of Ukraine’s valuable minerals as part of the war booty . Some of the profits accruing thereof will contribute to defraying some of the costs of US contributions to Ukraine’s war efforts, a whopping 182 Billion dollars sent to Zelensky as charity, by Sleepy Joe Biden
On the side-lines, the UK and the EU countries haven’t given up all hope yet of securing their own lucrative mineral and other trade and reconstruction deals, as recompense /compensation for supporting Zelensky’s war efforts, it’s just that Trump has beaten them to it. Trump has already secured a deal - an advanced deal even before the war is ended. That’s how smart Trump is. Trump the minerals and land grabber.
Hopefully, for Trump, some of the mineral wealth that Zelensky has signed away will not be found to be actually buried in territories that will eventually - formally and legally be said to be new Russian territories in what was formerly Ukraine but will by an eventual peace treaty be legally recognised as Russian territories .
