This article mentions a conflict between members of the religious community and leaders in Ghana regarding the implementation of sex education. In my opinion, sex education has positive benefits because children can be educated on their bodies and safe practices to protect them against diseases, teen pregnancy and other issues that may arise without knowledge of safe sex. However, sex education in America has many flaws and religious members are entitled to their thoughts. So if these policies are practiced in Ghana, should sex education be required for all students, or can students opt-out for religious or cultural purposes?
