good piece. add to the idea of race, ethnicity, and specifically in the u.s. hispanic. so instead of black, it becomes color--people of color. when you consider the attacks on muslims imposed by trump, it becomes still a wider umbrella of abusive racialism: white as opposed to arabs, mexicans, blacks, africans, etc etc.
not so much asians. not so much jews. definitely not norwegians!
in fact, it is the aryan mind again: we saw it in south africa and of course nazi germany, but also northern europe. it wanted to conquer the world. it's back in this newest, old iteration.

Racial racism is an oxymoron. The flaw in racial authoritarianism is the assumption that it is only people of color who pay the price. But the radical tradition in Black Cultural Studies from Du Bois to Stuart Hall reminds us that it is race-class-gender dominance that is articulated at the expense of all the poor, including poor whites, poor women and people of color. For instance, the police kill 2.5 more white people than they kill African Americans, though the proportion of the killing of black people is 2.5 per million higher than the killing of white people by cops, according to the Washington Post. That is why many white people have always joined the struggle against authoritarianism because it is not a problem only for people of color.
