The full name as it is known to the public  is Benjamin Nnamdi Azikiwe.

If there is evidence that he also bears Emmanuel then perhaps the author should do the readers  a  favour  by providing the source.

​I hereby thank Lawrence Ogbo Ugwuanyi for observing that Nnamdi Azikiwe baptismal name was Benjamin and not Emmanuel as I wrote to identify him as a Christian whose political party entered into coalition agreement with the NPC in 1960 to form Federal government in which Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, a Muslim, became the Prime Minister.

The Christians have Hebrew names and the Muslims have Arabic-sounding names. 

What’s in a name?  The name “ Cornelius” popped up in this lecture on the theme “ ye are all gods” …

Verily, by their names shall ye know them. Emmanuel or  Benjamin, Emmanuel  Netanyahu, Menachem Begin, Benjamin Azikiwe, Chief Jeremiah Awolowo - understandably a friend of Israel, apart from setting the record straight, what difference does it make? 

The gist of Baba Kadiri's thesis is that the name of the dude, his ethnicity, and his religion are all secondary. What’s important is, can he do the job? Can the Professor of Electricity shine some light into the darkness? Which does not mean that if he can, then it was not his God that helped him, or his Mother and father from whatever tribe that made him a proud Nigerian….

Of course, Nigeria is not Lebanon. Nigeria is more complex, with a different history, and a different neighbourhood. Nigeria was never a part of Syria, Nigeria has no Hezbollah, Nigeria is not neighbours with Israel, and Nigeria was not invaded by Israel in 1982. Nigeria believes in peaceful international relationships. Nigeria has not even invaded Cameroon or Chad  to wipe out Boko Haramis making their terror incursions into Nigeria from those countries …but…given all the distress and special concerns from all quarters, about  a Muslim - Muslim ticket  ( not to mention what could be even greater outrage  - some  real thunder and lightning  from the North should  the infidels  ever propose  a “Christian - Christian “ ticket, perhaps it could be instructive to learn a little from the model power-sharing arrangement for the various religious groups in Lebanon, an ideal arrangement  known as The National Pact
