Find beer by barcode

Is it possible to create a API call where you can find the beer by barcode, just like te scan function in the Untappd App?

Like: 

https://api.untappd.com/v4/search/beer?q={barcode}

or

https://api.untappd.com/v4/search/barcode?q={barcode}

It would be nice, I wan't to create an app where you can quickly find the Untappd scores of multiple beers when you walk around in a beer store.

It is not possible at this time - barcode scanning is not allows for third party api access.

I would be very interested in this aswell. A simple mapping from Barcode to Beer ID would be sufficient I think.
