random site effects in occuTTD ?

Dear Ken,

does occuTTD support additional random effects through TMB ? I have a data set with multiple observations from the same set of sites and would ideally accommodate possible non-independence of the data from the same site by adding a site random effect, as in + (1 | site).

Hi Marc,

Unfortunately occuTTD does not yet support TMB/random effects. However you could try fitting the model in ubms with stan_occuTTD, which does allow random effects.
