Hi,

I have a problem when loading Class into making exam,

I have two class 1480 and 1481 , both under Subject code BIT 104V

The different in setting is that I have two put them in two exam type for different periods of time, that mean 1481 will be loaded first then 1480,

When I run, the 1481 not there, is it that 1480 overwrite it ?

How do I keep both , since there might be same cases.

Thank you,

Dear Nguyen,

I am not sure I understand your question.

It is possible to have two exams for the same class in one examination problem (the solver will assume that the same students are attending both exams), or to have them in two or more examination problems (with different examination types).

Please note that when you load an examination problem (all exams for the selected examination type), only exams of that type get loaded. However, if the other examination problem has a solution (the exam has been scheduled for a specific period), the same students will have a direct conflict if placed in an overlapping examination period.

Best regards,

Tomas Muller

Thank you Tomas,

I separated classes into groups,

The first group have 14 classes and have  BIT 104V - class 1481
The second group have 8 classes and have  BIT 104V - class 1480

But when I run the Exam Solver then first group only have 13 class and no  BIT 104V - class 1481
and the  BIT 104V  only have  class 1480

Therefore I think that 1480 was overwritten

Hoping to hear your response,
Thank you,

Dear Nguyen,

So, you have 14 exams in the first problem, but when you load the solver, only 13 are loaded in? Is there any error in the solver log indicating why the 14th exam did not get loaded? The solver may not load an exam when there is no available placement, but a message about this is displayed in the log.

Best regards,

Tomas Muller
