I'm getting this in unimrcp server when starting up... the license should still be valid for at least a week:

Does this mean it's failing to load?

Any chance the node info (hostname/IP/MAC) of the server has changed since the license was generated? If I try to use a license file generated for another server, I get the same log message.

Thanks for replying!
The public for sure not, but it is vm-based.

Yeah, the license is tied to the node info Doug listed. If any of it changes the generated license won't work. A license store/server is a good option if you're running virtualized instances.

Hello!

Thanks for the info. So is there a solution? I can’t think I’m the only one using VMs...

And in the meantime I need to ask for another test license?

I have a license file that works on a VM, so that's not an inherent limitation. I think double-check the output from /opt/unimrcp/bin/unilicnodegen and open a request at https://www.unimrcp.org/licenses to request license help or a new file.

It doesn't matter if your machine is virtual or real, if you're using an instance-based license, it is tied to the hostname, MAC address, IP address. If you need something more dynamic, you'd want to go with a license store/server, where you reserve X number of licenses and each instance pulls from that store.

Thanks for the heads up guys, the VM resets its hostname on reboot.. that fixed the license.

Thanks!
