Azure SS - support of custom SSML tag "<mstts:silence>"

Hello,

we would like to include custom SSML tag <mstts:silence type="Tailing" value="0"/> at the end of every TTS phrase to override unneccessarily long default silence at the end of resulting audios (see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/462166/text-to-speech-control-initial-silence-and-end-sil.html)

However Genesys GVP generates it's own fixed <speak> tag internally and does not let us to inject prerequisite custom namespace (xmlns:mstts="http://www.w3.org/2001/mstts") to the <speak> tag.

Is there any chance for the Azure SS plugin to start supporting new options e.g. prosody-leading-silence and prosody-tailing-silence that would inject corresponding SSML <mstts:silence> tags with type="Leading" and "Tailing" to the phrases AND also inject the custom namespace to the <speak> tag IF it's missing?

Hello Zdenek,

This is an interesting use case. I have logged an internal ticket to add support for such vendor-specific parameters, which you would be able to set either in the plugin configuration or per synthesis request in your VXML app running on GVP.

thank you for good news. Do you have any time estimation, please? Just to be sure - injecting the custom namespace to the <speak> tag automatically will be supported?

Support for mstts extension to SSML, including the mstts namespace and mstts:silence as well as other elements will be available with the next release of the Azure SS plugin, which is likely to be published in a few weeks.
