Regarding the breaker panel on the backside of the head in the salon area…
I have some kind of antennae plug, upper right, nothing plugged into it, what is this for?
I was told the gas guages have never worked. Not at this panel not at the upper deck. What is the basic mechanism to how these work and where would I start to troubleshoot it? is it electric and Sensors? Mechanical and hydraulic? Always wondered how these work.
In the top center of the panel there is a rotatable knob that controls the volt meter that I see. Only one position on the four position knob seems to show power of around 13 V or so everything else drops to an immediate dead zero. What is this supposed to tell me?
I have a toggle switch for fuel It is labeled port and starboard however, throwing this I hear absolutely nothing making any noises as far as mechanics are concerned. Is this just a cosmetic switch to visually remind you or is a fuel pump being changed in its operation? The fuel “plumbing” seems to indicate no more than gravity is used to be using both tanks all the time.
FATH. what is this switch?
Holding tank. Middle bottom third of the panel is a white electrical switch label on and off for a holding tank it also makes no electrical noises or mechanical noises when toggled nor does it change any voltage requirements of the system whatsoever. Does anyone have any idea what this is, what it used to do, or what it is supposed to do?
That should cover it. I’ve navsged to trace and re-learn the two prior owners electrical upgrades and get things back to factory status where possible or down to removed where things like an iPhone can cover the job of 3 Expensive devices of past.
