Just bought this Uni 36 at a lien sale, time to repower and go have fun, looks like the cabin doors need to be pulled out to crane in the engines. Two quickies for this morning, can someone ID this model based on the photos and can someone detail the door removal process to repower - access to engines? Looks like sliding glass doors, thoughts?

The sliding doors have a star bolt on the bottom with a small screw to lock them in place, idea is to remove the screw turn the large star with a large flat blade screw driver and that will raise or lower the bottom wheels, the door can be lifted and bottom tilted out to remove. More often than not the star will not turn
I had to drill out the center from the back side ( inside ) to remove them. Replacements can be had from swisco.

Why would the sliding doors need be removed to pull engines? I have a 31 or whatever is the step down size from yours, engine bats access me without bothering sliding doors.

Now those doors on the other hand. Would love to talk to whoever engineered the angled install of sliding doors designed to sit flat on a bearing roller. A bearing known the world over to fail eventually. Usually often. And the replacement star rollers. That’s some high quality super strong aluminum. Fabricate your own rollers from high quality parts. You’ll thank me 40 hours down that rabbit hole.
