OMG-OCUP2-FOUND100 Certification

Hi Rajia,

Well, this OCUP2 certificate shocked me. I have a OCUP Fundamental certification which I took 2 years ago, and I have not any information about this new program. When I chose to take the exam, I though to do this on UML 2.x versions. 

I also checked OMG site to get some details explaining this new program but without any success. (Only a short sentence of discount provided for OCUP certified people.) Furthermore, I still find  links for both certifications:

- http://www.omg.org/uml-certification/ (from the progam main page)

- http://www.omg.org/ocup-2/ (from the program menu at site head)

Following these, I would be glad to anybody who can explain what is going on in the UML certification program.

I am also surprised by this new certification, I have been prepared OCUP Fundamental with the blanc exams, but when I want to reserve in pearson vue in order to pass exam, I found that is replaced by this new one (CUP2).

I don't know if the exams is also different from OCUP, or the question still the same.

I didn't found any exam for this new one.

If someone have already passed this certification, please give us some informations.

Hello,

I passed OCUP2 Foundation Beta. OMG changed the scope OCUP Fundamental and
this why the new exam was created.
They wanted the new exam to be more practical, not only focused on the uml
metamodel.

In April and May the beta exams took place. I got the invitation for it
from the OMG and I took the exam.
Now the OMG is analyzing the results of the exam and setting the final form
of the official version of the exam.

Hello,

I passed the exam this morning and I had a grad Fail :s, it was very difficult (I got 45/90)

Unfortunately there is no another chance to pass it :(

Even i was preparing for this exam from last 3 months.. But now came to know that OCUP is changed to OCUP2..

Hi Folks,

I have been preparing for OCUP Fundamental Exam(UMO-100), but the Pearson is offering OCUP2 Foundation Exam.
How much difference is there in OCUP Fundamental & OCUP Foundation Exam?
Can I give OCUP2 Foundation with the preparation done for OCUP Fundamental?
Please help me

I am surprised by this new certification too. I just took the UML certification and got 50 out of 90. It is really difficult so prepare well according to the coverage map.

I failed too.

It was  very difficult exam. They ask for many details.

In my opinion, the Nutshell and Dummies books are not enough.

What do you think? What materials do you recommend?

Hooray, I passed!

The exam was not as easy as I expected.  It requires thinking and good preparation.

Coverege map - mandatory.

If you prepare well there should be no problems.

have you got some exam question example? I couldn't find any practice test exam about it on the web. Moreover there is no clear certification content guide unless you schedule a $4000 course. It is of any help the OMG-OCUP-100 mock exam in you opinion?
