to User Level Fault Mitigation
In OpenMPI v4.0.1.

$ cat myrankfile
rank 0=aa slot=0,1,2
rank 1=bb slot=8
rank 2=cc slot=6

shell$ mpirun -H aa,bb,cc,dd -rf myrankfile ./a.out

This means that three MPI processes (0,1,2)

Rank 0 will run on node aa, bound to the core that contains physical PU 0,1,2
Rank 1 will run on node bb, bound to the core that contains physical PU 8
Rank 2 will run on node cc, bound to the core that contains physical PU 6

But In the ULFM-MPI, rankfile is deprecated by --map-by.

Could somebody tell me how to run such three processes with the latest ULFM-MPI?

Best,

Xiaotian

Thanks.

Xiaotian,

Thanks for the bug report. It turns out this is an issue in PRRTE, sometime in the recent past it lost the capability to handle rankfiles. I have filled up a github issue in PRRTE: https://github.com/openpmix/prrte/issues/1396

  George.
