How many folks are in this Google group, and "not" following us on email, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram?

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are unclean. Like picking up a rock and finding slithery things squirming into the soil. Email/Google group are good for me.

By the way, I upgraded to Catalina and experienced so many issues with even Apple apps like Mail and Music/Tv that I had to wipe my hard drive clean and reinstall everything from scratch, which is what I’m doing now. Back to the bare bones and build back up. What fun! What larks! Thank you, Apple. I’m going to wait until the MetaSynth beta is released before I move to Catalina.

I have found Facebook unreliable in that it doesn't serve all notifications to all fans and even when notifications do appear they quickly get lost. I find Google Groups to be pretty reliable and doesn't require going to their website to receive info. Email is good to...but sometimes harder to get past aggressive spam filters.

Catalina is a mess. I have it installed on its own remote boot volume (solely for testing U&I stuff) and each time I go to it I find some new treat. Like, for instance, the fact that no matter how I try I can’t get it to talk to any other computer on my network. It’s visible to all, and it’s configured correctly but it just times out if I try to connect to it from one of my other Macs, or it tries to connect to them. I spent an hour trying to get to the bottom of it (I’m not the only one having the problem) before I thought “Why I am I bug testing Apple’s product for them?”

I personally disagree. Facebook's data breaches have been far more egregious and numerous.

Facebook has been excellent for the sharing and community that we’ve established with 'Worlds of ArtMatic’ and I recommend that everyone join up to that. But I agree with Edward that it’s a hopeless device for reliable communication. It’s just not in Facebook’s interest to do that, apparently because they make it completely confusing and opaque for that.

Well, I don’t want to get into a lengthy off-topic discussion about it, let’s just say they all have their own little dirty moral compromises. There’s no sliding scale for evil in my opinion.

I follow this group and get emails from U&I Software. This allows me to read at my timing and keep, delete or flag at need.

Not a big fan of Twitter and Instagram for this kind of updates - too easy to miss a post. Not a fan of fb at all

I will not have an account on Facebook or Instagram. I probably
have/do followed on Twitter but i am intermittent. Direct email or the
Google Group is the best way of communicating with me I think.

I’m on all of the platforms. We use Facebook pretty effectively with Jambé since you can easily post images, files, etc. The list works ok, but I find they’re seldom a complete solution.

Hello, I'm a Metasynth user. I use Facebook, but it omits to notify the news from your page very often, so using this Google group mailing list is much safer for me.

I'm on Twitter, too, but I don't use it very much.
