Greetings,

Here is the last article at my blog. It is a neglected work and finding made by my friend "Nablator" circa 2011/2012, which is lost in old forum threads, and then probably bad known. The article is in French, but there is a shorter version in English in the hyperlinks (ATS Forum). I decided to write it for archive goal and visibility, and because Lubbock was discussed here or there the past days.

Thoughts appreciated!

Gilles -

I read your article, and I might be the only UFO researcher to speak with Carl Hart, Jr. in the last twenty-five years. I found myself in Lubbock and on a lark, looked him up in the telephone book. His phone number was there so I called. We talked about his sighting, talked about the location of his house in 1951 (its now a Pizza Hut) and I asked him what he thought he photographed. He said that he still didn't know what it was but it has been my experience that those teenagers (Hart was 19) who faked photographs eventually admit it. He said he didn't know.

I will also point out that the professors who saw the lights the first night were more than a little annoyed (well, one of them was) when the Hart photos appeared. He started to amend his story so, yes, what they saw did not match what Hart photographed.

I believe that if Hart had faked them, he would have said something by now. No fear of trouble, no fear of any retribution. I will also note that the lights do not lead us to the extraterrestrial and there might be a mundane explanation for them but as of now, I believe we can say that Hart hadn't faked them... an apropos of nothing at all, there were originally five pictures but only four made it to Blue Book. I have search various newspapers hoping that someone had published all five or that maybe just one that didn't match the other four. I have failed to find it.

Hello Kevin,

TU for your feed-back. Yes, I tried to find the third picture of the "second shoot serial", following  Hart's testimony, without any luck too.

Maybe for what you said regarding your encounter with Hart and... feelings. But well, I think the mind of fakers is a little more complexe, and unpredictable, despite or whatever the investigator is, his experience, etc.

Anyway the FACT two of the photos are perfectly stackable is enough for me...

I dont expect these pictures will no longuer illustrate this modern myth. We have said what must be say. The rest is a question of faith - and time - ;)

Regards,

Gilles.

Good Day, Gilles -

Hart has remained steadfast for decades that he didn't fake the pictures. It isn't about feelings about what he told me in response to my questions. I know that what he photographed does not match what the professors saw, but there were other sightings in the area that were reported prior to his picture, including one of a "flying wing" type aircraft seen near Albuquerque, New Mexico. I don't know what he photographed, but the evidence available does not suggest hoax.
