Dear all,

Please see the message below from Prof. Emaminejad regarding ARR presentation, please refer to the link provided for submission and formats.
I think the first option "Lightning talks" is where we wanted to submit our presentation to.

Please note that, even though in the instructions they preferred "5-10 minutes, ~5 slides talk", Prof. Emaminejad has confirmed that our 15 minute-presentations (for AP-S) are also acceptable.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Junbo

Dear Junbo,

I am glad to hear that you are considering contributing to vARR. Below, please find the submission link as well as information on submission formats:

1. Lightning talks: pre-recorded slide-driven presentation (preferably: 5-10 minutes, ~5 slides), where the students provide an overview of: 1)  the vision/overarching challenge pertaining to their work; 2) past/related work and the existing technological/knowledge gap; 3) their solution toward realizing the vision and addressing the gap; and 4) future work and outlook. The students tend to use Zoom's video recording option to record their presentation.

2. Electronic poster (optional): This could be helpful if you have already prepared a poster presentation for your research.

Regards,
Sam

Dear Professor Emaminejad,

My name is Junbo Wang and I am a Ph.D. student from Prof. Rahmat-Samii's Lab. I have learnt that you are helping to coordinate this year's ARR and therefore, I am writing to you for questions  regarding the submission of video presentations.

Several students from our lab including me have video presentations  pre-recorded for participation in this year's ARR. But we haven't received any guidelines on submission nor schedules so far. I understand that the organization of such an event takes great effort. But since the submission deadline  (August 31st) is approaching, I hope to reach out and learn from you for any available instructions to follow (or a website to learn more) regarding the participation of this event. Thank you!

Best regards,
Junbo

Hi Junbo,

It appears that you have to include a downloadable link to the presentation video and cannot directly upload the .mp4 file of your recorded presentation. Do you know how we might do this?

Thanks,
Dustin

Hi Dustin,

One possible way is to upload the video to google drive and generate a link to share the video.
However, there's no specific requirements on that and you may do whatever works best for you, as long as one could download the presentation through the link.

(The due date is August 31st, I guess we could still  hold for a while in case any new instruction comes out.)

Best,
Junbo

Thanks Junbo! I didn't think to use Google drive. That's a good idea.
