Dear Vignesh,

On behalf of the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department, I am pleased to inform you that you are the recipient of the 2019-2020 Samueli Excellence in Teaching Award!  The Awards Committee had the difficult task of reviewing 17 nominations this year, awarding 3 to the most outstanding TA's.  We thank you for your excellent service, and we wish you continued success throughout the remainder of your studies.  

Now that you won an award, there are a few more steps/actions to take:

Please

1. send me a photo (.jpg) to be used in the department announcement which will be displayed on our website
2. send me your current mailing address so I can send you a certificate and a small handmade gift
3. indicate your t-shirt size
4. accept an Amazon gift card!  (coming your way soon as an email under separate cover)

Unfortunately, under the circumstances, we were unable to have our annual Graduation & Awards Ceremony this year due to the pandemic.  Hopefully, the Department will be able to celebrate your accomplishment at a later date with a ceremony.

This is another great piece of news for our team. Clearly hard work pays off and our group has won many awards throughout the years. I am confident more awards will be won by the group provided we work hard, stay engaged and demand excellence.  

I need the following from all of you covering the period of July 1, 2016 to the end of June 31, 2020.

(a) How many ARR papers in each year,

(b) Departmental awards

(c) Outside awards

(d) How many TA's

(e) Fellowships

(f) Any other relevant things

Try to get them to me this Sunday.as I need for the department submission. Have a wonderful weekend.
