A pair in Seattle and one in Milwaukee become O&Os of the network, while the company that now holds most of Trib's stations adds the two in Charlotte...

Fox never made the Charlotte station successful as an O&O. Technically, Nexstar only bought one station m, WJZY, because Fox sold off WMYT’s frequency in last year’s auction. WMYT is a sub-channel of WJZY. We’ll also see if Nexstar is interesting in continuing to operate a station with seven sub-channels.

They ain't fond of those... they kicked Buzzr off one in Utah... only
have a few with H&I... if not for Fox46 they wouldn't have Ion, which my
brother adores...

Spectrum Cable in Charlotte carries the national feeds of iON and H&I. Right now there are more diginets than there are places for them to broadcast here.

Fox tried and failed with their “Chasing” news format here, and it left them fifth in a market with five different stations that produce their own news.

It’s also interesting that every non-LP station in Charlotte has changed hands in the past few years, as well as the cable company and DirecTV.
